Support A Bad Merger Deal, Support A Bad Candidate, Get Screwed

In honor of trump voters being incredibly stupid and not realizing that electing him would ruin their own lives, it is time for another installment of “How Did Trump Voters Screw Themselves Over Today.”

Our second (of what is sure to be many, if I can keep up with them) example is a deal between US Steel and Nippon that a number of trump-supporting, union steelworkers were hoping would happen, but have now learned will be opposed by trump. The United Steelworkers Local 2227 Vice President Jason Zugai, who enjoyed attending trump rallies and even met with the guy, calls the news that trump does not support the deal, “a gut punch”.

Now to be clear the deal is probably not a great idea and Democrats also oppose it on national security grounds, as do other major steelworkers union leaders. But these trump supporters, who worked to help trump win in hopes he would make this crappy deal happen, are now out of luck in getting what they want, anyway. It will probably be for the best, just like supporting Harris would have been for the best, but supporting a rapist, convicted felon, in hopes he would support a crappy deal, was too tempting for these clowns. So once again, a bunch of trumpers get to learn about the stupidity of thinking trump gives a crap about their wishes.
