'Screw Them Kids' Is Now Official GOP Policy

Despite being in smack dab in the middle of one of the most Democratic cities in the country, the Orthodox Jewish community in Brooklyn is known to be very conservative and has traditionally voted heavily in favor of the Republicans. This year was no different as up to 90% of some Orthodox Jewish neighborhoods in Brooklyn supported trump at the ballot box. Another thing that is no different is that these unique trump supporters, who would seem to be a group that could avoid the harm of most of trump's damaging policies, will also find themselves screwed over by trump just like many others before them and still to come, in every type of deep Republican districts across the country.

In Brooklyn, many Orthodox Jewish families, which are often very large with lots of children, often depend on WIC to help feed their families. WIC is the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children which helps provide families extra food for children and newborn babies. In a new move by the trump administration, they have frozen all WIC payments. That means nobody can use WIC until this issue is resolved and money can be spent again. Which means these and other trump supporting families won’t be able to buy food for their children. 

Now of course when trump stopped WIC he assumed it would only harm Black kids and Latino kids because he is stupid enough to think they are the only people who are helped by these important government programs. But alas, WIC is used by millions of Americans, from the whitest, most trump loving folks in deep red states to the reliable Orthodox Jewish trump voters in the depths of deep blue Brooklyn. But as long as it harms minorities he does not like, trump and the GOP are fine with whatever other groups get hurt by stopping these programs, even if it means he is screwing over a wide variety of his own voters.
